In order to get enough content to keep people coming back we will have a "mini bike of the week", posted every Monday. Just a picture or two and some description, to give you ideas, motivation or inspiration to build your own.
This bike is owned by a friend, it started as a CAT 250x minibike. I nicknamed it the Orange Blast.....cause it is orange and it is fast.
These bikes originally came with a 2.5 HP Briggs & Stratton motor, 4.10 x 3.50-6" tires and a scrub brake. This was the base model from CAT.
I assume this bike came from the factory in orange, as orange was a popular color for them.
The bike now has a Kohler 196cc 6.5 HP motor
These motors are also a bit of a clone of the Honda, they uses pieces from the Hemi and standard head motors.
Of course, the Orange Blast has some motor mods that allow for 9000 rpm and 70 mph speed runs.
