Mini Bike of the Week: Volksbiken

A combination of Mini Bike, Bicycle and Volkswagen, the Volksbiken turns heads. I am not a fan of the Nazi Footlocker (as mechanics call the Volkswagen Beatle, this is a pretty cool idea. You take to front fenders, cut them down the middle of the headlight, weld them together and mount them to a mini bike frame.

Randy's Chopper-Bobber Project part 1

 After hearing about my Chopper-Bobber project, my buddy Randy wanted to build one as well, then I found RCF Mini-Bikes.

They have a roller kit, ready to go, it even has a springer front end. Below is a picture of one of their early prototypes.

Randy ordered one up, with the optional springer front end.

Randy's kit came with the same 10" spoke wheels and dirt track style tires, it didn't come with the rear fender and sissy bar and the foot pegs are removeable.

The tank looks like a smaller version of a Sportster tank, they call it a "frisco tank".

Randy wanted to go with a black and chrome look, so he is going to replace as many bolts and fasteners with chrome as possible. He also decided to run chrome ape hanger bars and risers instead of the dragster bars than came with the kit.

We mocked it up to see how everything fit, before breaking it down for paint. The motor sitting in the frame is my motor from my project.

Randy decided to go with the same Vevor torque convertor as I had bought, the same engine riser and exhaust, which we found on ebay. I had searched for an exhaust pipe for quite a while to find one that would clear the torque convertor cover and look right.

We got a Predator 212 non-hemi when they were on sale, only $119

Randy purchased the same air cleaner kit that I did.

He also bought a chrome valve cover

Mini Bike Sticker of the Week: Flea Mini-Bikes

 I have made lots of these 2" stickers to fit the recess of the recoil starter cover, see images below, great for restorations and restomods.

This bike just screams 1975.....
